FAQ
How does it work?
For each group, the app finds products that have any of the words in the title, product type or tags, then adds hidden tags (like _sfx-couch) for the other words. Shopify search already reads tags.
When do synonyms start working?
After Shopify re-indexes the tagged products. That's usually a few minutes, but it can take longer. The app shows when each group is live.
Does it replace my search or edit my theme?
No. Native search and filters stay. Strict match is an app embed you can switch off in the theme editor.
How do I undo everything?
Click “Remove everything Synonym Fix added” before uninstalling. If you've already uninstalled, filter products by the tag _sfx- and bulk-remove the tags.
What data do you collect?
Search words and result counts for the report. No customer names, IPs or cookies. See the privacy policy.
